Ira Cohen, Esq., attended INTA’s Annual Meeting for 2018 (the 140th Annual meeting overall), in Seattle, Washington, in May, 2018. INTA stands for the International Trademark Association. Next year’s INTA Annual Meeting will be in Boston, Massachusetts.
INTA is a non-profit membership association dedicated to the support and advancement of trademarks and related intellectual property as elements of fair and effective commerce. The International Trademark Association was founded well over a century ago, in 1878. According to INTA, there are currently 5,900 trademark owners, professionals and academics, from more than 190 countries, who comprise INTA and its network. INTA’s annual meeting is, without question, the largest and most prestigious meeting of the international trademark community. Held in May of each year, the annual meeting hosts more than 8,000 participants, from more than 130 countries, for five (5) days of educational programs, committee meetings, exhibits, networking opportunities, and social events.
Involvement in this year’s INTA’s 139th Annual Meeting, held from May 19th-May 23rd, is part and parcel of Henkel and Cohen’s on-going commitment to excellence in Intellectual Property Law.
